Ythnel is a young priestess of Loviatar who leaves her temple in Bezantur for the first time to become a governess in Luthcheq across the sea. Accused of witchcraft in a city that forbids the arcane, Ythnel finds herself hunted by House Karanok. Led by her faith, she searches for allies amidst betrayals from the most unlikely sources.

Dave Gross is a magazine editor in Seattle, Washington. His most recent Forgotten Realms novel titles were Lord of Stormweather and Black Wolf from the Sembia series, in addition to contributing a short story to The Halls of Stormweather anthology.
